Last Released Version: 9.0 (1995)The DOS version of Draftsman was little more than the Draftsman conversion engine running directly in DOS, and had no viewing or editing features of its own. It was available along with the 16 bit Windows version, Draftsman PLUS, until 2000.Draftsman 2002 has the Draftsman conversion engine, much improved over the years, along with the ability to vectorize color and gray images and a graphic user interface that includes raster and vector editing features, overlay and OCR; while Draftsman Cutting Shop has the same abilities without OCR and has line optimization and toolpath control features for use with all cutting applications. Draftsman PLUS
Last Released Version: 9.0 (1995) and 9/10 (1996)Draftsman PLUS was the last 16 bit version of Draftsman and ran on Windows 3.1x. It was a development of Draftsman for Windows and included overlay, editing and OCR. Version 10 was being simultaneously developed with our first 32 bit version, Draftsman PLUS 32 v.11. It was decided not to release version 10, but to incorporate some of its features into Version 9. This version was sometimes known as 9/10 and was available from 1997 until 2000, but should be considered Version 9.0 for the purposes of upgrade pricing.
Draftsman 2002 has all the features of Draftsman PLUS, along with the ability to vectorize color and gray images and a greatly improved interface. Draftsman Cutting Shop has the same abilities without OCR, and has line optimization and toolpath control features for use with all cutting applications. Call for upgrade information and pricing.
