Please read this article before sending us any files via E-mail!

File Size

Please do not send files over 1 megabyte (1000 kilobytes) to us by E-mail, unless you've spoken to us about it first. If you are sending several files, please try to keep the \TOTAL size of the files under 1 megabyte. If your files are larger than this, please call Tech Support at (734) 741-8700 and ask us if it can be sent via E-mail, or put it on a floppy disk, CD or ZIP disk and send it to us in the mail or via UPS/FedEx to:

CD's and ZIP disks can be returned to you via regular mail.

If you are sending a file for an .ABI conversion, we prefer .PCX or .RLC files but can convert from most raster formats. (We cannot convert from .CIT format at this time.) Please be aware that if you send a CALS or TIFF Group 4 file, the .ABI we send back might be more than five times the size of the raster file; perhaps too big for your E-mail system to receive. If the file cannot be sent back to you via E-mail, we will send it on disk via surface mail if we have your address (see below).

Many files can be compressed using PKZip to bring the size down; however, files using Group 4 compression usually won't zip smaller.

Contact Information

Please include AT LEAST your name, company name, and telephone number with any files you E-mail to us. As of 7/10/97, we will no longer convert sample files if this information is not included. It might also be helpful if you could include your shipping address, in case we need to mail files to you for any reason.
