Sample Conversions

Raster to Vector Conversions

Several samples are available for download. These free samples are the ZIP version of .DXF files. These files should be downloaded and unziped. The resulting DXF vector file should be imported into your CAD program for testing. 

You will need Windows XP or newer, or a copy of PKUNZIP or WinZip installed on your computer to unZIP these files.

Rod is a mechanical drawing of a piston to crankshaft connecting rod. This file was created from an A4 Black and White scan at 300dpi. The conversion time was less than 10 seconds. The vector file has not been cleaned, modified or edited by any of our vector editing tools. This is the same raster image that is included in our demonstration software.

Cadas is a part of a cadastral or plat map.  This file was created from an A0 Black and White scan at a resolution of 300dpi. The conversion time was less than 10 seconds. The vector file has been cleaned, modified or edited by some of our vector editing tools.   Specifically text boxes were added with parcel numbers and several parcels were filled.  This demonstrates our ability to add text and do fills.  This was created from a raster file that is not included in our Demonstration software.

Vector to Raster Conversions

Several samples are available for download. These free samples are the ZIP version of .PCX files. These files should be downloaded and unziped. The resulting PCX raster file should be imported into a raster viewing or editing program for testing.

This file shows how vector information and annotations can be added to a raster image then saved along with the raster information in a raster file.

Scan of a map, with areas of color added as filled vectors in Draftsman then saved as a raster (detail).

This file shows how you can use solid fills to create zoning maps, master plans and colorful presentations from scanned black and white maps.

(NOTE: To save file size, the color set on this image was reduced. Some dithering in the filled areas occured as a result. These areas were originally solid colors.)
